Hanna joins the growing list of female musician memoirs as the “Oh Come On” singer aims to bring her unfiltered personality to page. The bold vibrant cover art just gives a taste of what fans can expect when they read the book. Per the publisher description, the 336-page book “takes us from her tumultuous childhood to her formative college years and her first shows. As Hanna makes clear, being in a punk ‘girl band’ in those years was not a simple or safe prospect.”

Throughout the ’90s, Hanna gained attention for her “personal yet feminist lyrics on anthems like ‘Rebel Girl’ and ‘Double Dare Ya,’” according to the official book description. Even today, her influence can be felt as her feminist anthems continue acting as a voice of change.

Now, you’ll be able to hear from her perspective as she recounts everything from her friendships with other iconic artists like Kurt Cobain, Ian MacKaye, Kim Gordon and Joan Jett as well as falling in love with Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys and her battle with Lyme disease.
