The rapper dropped hard-hitting bars over Far East Movement’s 2010 hit
Megan Thee Stallion delivered her latest installment of “#MeganMonday,” this time rapping over chart-topping “Like a G6” from Far East Movement‘s third studio album Free Wired.
Sporting a pink crop top and slick red pants with matching headphones, the rapper blazed through “Like a G6 Freestyle” against the classic song’s potent beat, and in the opening verse managed to name-drop Three 6 Mafia — “Know I gotta stay fly like Three 6” — and a Hunger Games heroine: “Add ’em up, bitches ain’t even a fraction/I’m hungry in this game like I’m fightin’ for my faction/A stallion, say my name, tails start waggin’/Call PETA ’cause I’m sendin’ shots like Katniss.”
Elsewhere on the track, the rapper declares, “Bitch, you wanna be me, the new you look like my old ID,” before dropping the reminder: “Gaultier, bitch, you know I been a G.O.A.T. to your fave/On ballpoint, I got the best pen in the game.”
Earlier this month, Megan released “BOA,” following previous singles “Hiss” (which reached Number One on the Billboard Hot 100) and “Cobra.” The latter two songs were her first drops as an unsigned artist distributing her music through and with the support of Warner Music Group. She discussed the snake motif on her upcoming third album as Women’s Health’s cover star in April, and said that it was about “rebirth.”
“I am becoming a new person physically and mentally,” Megan told the magazine. “They’re feared, misunderstood, respected, healing.”
